The Emirate of Qatar is home to a growing yacht fleet that includes Al Mirqab, Katara, a shadow vessel, and two sisterships—Constellation and Stargate—both built by Oceanco and designed by the A Group. Jean-Pierre Fantini collaborated with the A Group on the yacht’s minimalist and low maintenance interior for the Emir of Qatar, Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. Constellation was built with a high level of sound insulation, resulting in an ultra-quiet 46 decibels in the owner’s saloon at full speed. Twin 20-cylinder 10,000-hp MTU engines and large fuel capacity enable a 5,000-nm range at 20 knots and a 23.5-knot top speed. She carries a crew of 22. Both Constellation and her sister ship Stargate, which is moored in Palma de Mallorca, are the result of 20,000 hours of engineering time and more than 450,000 hours of labor.
