The Fort Yachtie Da International Film Festival is already in its sixth year and the festival is officially open to entries for the 2013 contest. Captains and crews are invited to put together a five-minute video and showcase almost anything.

The Fort Yachtie Da International Film Festival is already in its sixth year and the festival is officially open to entries for the 2013 contest. Captains and crews are invited to put together a five-minute video and showcase almost anything. Categories for entrants include comedy, action, documentary, infomercial and yachtie lifestyle. Don’t know what to put together? You can visit the festival’s website and see last year’s entries for inspiration. The awards ceremony will be held during the Fort Lauderdale boat show later this year and each registered Producer, both past and present, will receive four complimentary tickets to the event. The grand prize winner will receive an Oscar Fish trophy and up to $1,000 cash.

Entry rules:
Producers must register their videos online at www.fortyachtieda.com/festival/. Videos must be five minutes or less and files must be no larger than 200 MB. Videos that do not meet these requirements will not be approved. Entries can be uploaded at www.fortyachtieda.com/festival/, but event organizers request a high-res version be sent via YouSendIt to info@fortyachtied.com or mailed in DVD form to Crew Unlimited, 1069 SE 17 Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316.
