Hodgdon Yachts Delivers Two Custom Tenders
Two Andrew Winch-designed, Hodgdon-engineered 28-foot (8.5-meter) tenders recently were delivered to the shipyard from which their mothership will soon be launching. Both were constructed with epoxy carbon fiber to reduce weight. One is an open style tender and the other is a limousine. The open tender can accommodate 12 guests and includes a retractable hardtop over the helm, as well as a retracting bow ramp for convenient loading and boarding. The limo tender seats eight guests. It’s features include iPad-integrated systems, electrically retracting aft windows and moonroof, hydraulically lifting roof and separate lavatory and wash basin lockers.
Novurania Adds Diesel Jet Models
Novurania has added a new jet diesel engine system to its expanding repertoire of tenders. Jet models include single and twin engines and come from already established lines like Chase and Launch series with more models to follow building on their LX design. The Twin Jet Chase is 32 feet (9.8 meters) and is powered by twin Yanmar BY260 HP turbo diesels coupled to Alamarine Jets. The maneuverability of the jets allow ease of operation and joystick control even in shallow waters or between reefs and divers. A hydraulic clutch gives the propulsion system a true neutral and back-flushing option as well.
