Demand for larger Sunseeker yachts leads the brand to explore metal construction in new partnership with Icon Yachts.
With styling by Tim Heywood and an interior by Redman Whiteley Dixon, Baton Rouge is a six-deck full-displacement yacht with every conceivable luxury. This 205-foot (63-meter) yacht includes multiple salons and dining areas, both inside and out, as well as accommodations for 12 guests in seven cabins including the 1,076-square-foot (100-square-meter) master suite.
We came back from a tour of the Dutch shipyards, organized by the Dutch yachting association (part of a larger association promoting the Dutch marine industry, known as HISWA), with some positive news. Most (if not all) the Dutch shipyards have a number of big yachts currently under construction and the future looks bright.
Maidelle (project Midlandia) is Icon Yachts’ third 205-foot (62.5-meter) motoryacht. She follows Icon, delivered in 2009, and Baton Rouge, delivered in 2010. Built for an experienced owner, she features exterior styling by Redman Whiteley Dixon Design and a tasteful interior design from Cristiano Gatto.
