The owner of CRN's M/Y Cloud 9 created a yacht for himself -and- the world's premier charter clients.
Earlier this week in Ancona, CRN's 242-foot (74-meter) superyacht Cloud 9 launched to great fanfare. A spectacular and powerful combination of engineering expertise and ground-breaking design, Cloud 9 is a close collaboration between CRN shipyard, Zuccon International Project and Winch Design.
The 122-foot Mythos is the first yacht by Riva completely built in light aluminum alloy, as well as the largest yacht in the world ever produced by the Italian brand.
At the US winter shows, the boating industry puts its best foot forward. Between Miami and Palm Beach, the region hosts no fewer than five major boat shows. The Yacht & Brokerage Show on Miami Beach and the Miami International Boat Show, and related Strictly Sail, run February 14 to 18. These three shows mark the debut of dozens of new models and showcase hundreds of craft, from small center consoles to megayachts.
The Riva Virtus is a superb dayboat loaded with amenities. With an LOA of just 64 feet, the boat features amazing spaces inside and out. The main deck has two sun pads—one fore, one aft—and plenty of seating surrounding the helm controls but, in case of bad weather, an electro-hydraulically operated bimini top provides shelter.
