Emeril Lagasse Foundation raises more than $800,000 at second Line, Vine & Dine Fishing Tournament

The Emeril Lagasse Foundation raised more than $800,000 during its second Line, Vine & Dine fishing tournament, held February 8-10 in Fort Lauderdale. Proceeds benefited the Emeril Lagasse Foundation in support of the Arc Broward culinary institute and the Dan Marino Foundation, both of which aim to improve the lives of people with developmental disabilities and other challenges.

HMY Yachts and Viking Yachts sponsored the sporting and culinary event, in which 16 teams caught 44 sailfish. At the final evening’s Seafood Cook-off, Emeril Lagasse and guest chefs Sean Brasel, Clay Conley, Angelo Elia, Cindy Hutson, Greg McGowan, Habteab Hamde, Chad Johnson and Jose Mendin prepared seafood dishes paired with wine from Napa and Sonoma counties in California. Tournament awards, a silent and live auction, as well as a performance by Donavon Frankenreiter highlighted the evening.
