DAY 5: UVALA STIPANSKA & HVAR

A morning cruise will see Penny Mae anchor off Uvala Stipanska, right in front of “Carpe Diem Beach” (similar to Nikki Beach). Enjoy the day swimming and taking in the sun on the beach, before meeting up with Penny Mae by tender in Hvar in the mid-afternoon. Hvar town, on the island of the same name, is the closest Croatia comes to Cannes, with swirling activity along the quayside, terrific people watching and a famous nightlife. It is a good place to eat dinner ashore and enjoy the crowd.

DAY 6: SVETI KLEMENT & VIS

After breakfast Penny Mae will leave Hvar Port and drop anchor nearby at the picturesque Sveti Klement. The bay is packed with bars and restaurants, great swimming, and is an excellent daytime relaxing spot. After lunch and a last swim, Penny Mae will cruise the short distance to the island of Vis, where we anchor near the town for the night. Take a stroll ashore and visit the archeological museum, ISSA, the oldest Greek colony in the Adriatic (4th century BC).

DAY 7: SKRADIN & SIBENIK

Having departed Vis very early, wake up while Penny Mae cruises up the Krka River (near Sibenik), and anchors near the town of Skradin, which has an ancient history of occupation by various victors. This freshwater paradise, located on the Krka river, features beautiful waterfalls, ancient mills (visited by local boat) and the small Franciscan island of Visovac. After exploring the waterfalls, Penny Mae will cruise back down the river and spend the night in Sibenik, which is located in a deep bay and it is one of the Adriatic coasts’ most naturally protected harbors. Little streets lead to attractive squares where modern shops blend nicely with the fine and stylish architecture of the vanished centuries.
