Feel-Good Yachting: Running for a cure in St. Maarten
Plan on stopping in St. Maarten next weekend? Consider spending a day with IYC (in association with Acrew) and the crew of Lazy Z. They are hosting the first annual Limitless Marathon in Isle De Sol Marina on February 2nd to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The event kicks off with a walk/race at 9 am, continues with a BBQ lunch at 1 pm and ends whenever the pink-themed costume party at the Castaways Bar runs out of participants. A $10 registration fee, payable at the event, is required. Additional donations will be collected for each kilometer completed. Pink costumes during the marathon are optional, but there will be a prize awarded for the best getup. The crew that completes the most kilometers will win an Ozone Kitesurf.
Due to the marina’s security protocols, you must register even in you only want to participate in the post-marathon events. The registration site is funrun.acrew.com
Even if you’re not going to be in St. Maarten this February, you can help by donating at fundraiseforBCRF.org/limitlessmarathon.
