Irimari, the first Sunrise Yachts' 63m series, has been launched in Antalya, Turkey after 30 months of construction.

In a maneuver that had many holding their breath for a few long moments, Irimari's method of launch was a world-premiere of its own as she was lifted from her cradle on the dock by two giant cranes from the heavy-lifter ship HHL Valparaiso and delicately lowered to the sea.

To everyone’s relief, the vessel weighed-in exactly on target and settled into her lines perfectly with no need for ballasting.

The graceful lines and perfect proportions of the vessel conceived by Espen Oeino’s talented pen immediately turned heads from spectators. Sunrise Yachts intends for the nearly 1,500 gross-ton superyacht to be a show-stopper and the subject of much discussion in the coming months.

Irimari has an original interior design by Focus Yacht Design of Bremen and naval architecture by Unique Yacht Design of Antalya. She is a full-displacement motoryacht, with a hi-tensile steel hull and aluminum superstructure, capable of cruising beyond 5,000 miles and reaching a top speed of 17 knots.

Although most of the dock and system trials have already been performed in the construction shed, the vessel will spend two months at the dock for final fit-out, commissioning and sea trials before being handed to her owners for the summer season.

Irimari will make her official world debut at this year's Monaco Yacht Show.
