Introduced in Monaco, the Sanlorenzo 42 EXP is a 138-foot-5-inch steel and aluminum expedition vessel. One has already sold. While designed to reach remote destinations and survive severe weather at all latitudes, its robust nature does not exclude elegance.
The comfortable interior has a five-stateroom layout and the yacht includes a large beach club equipped with bar, sauna and dive station, a fitness area with gym and a counter-flow pool. The yacht is self sufficient, with the ability to stay at anchor with its generators switched off for more than 48 hours. The new Sanlorenzo 42 EXP aims to receive RINA’s Green Plus notation through fuel efficiency and other environmental considerations. Engine options include two 1,319hp Caterpillar C32 Acert or two 1,360hp MTU 8V 4000 M63 engines and the generous fuel tank allows a 4,000-nautical-mile range at 11 knots.
