Andrew Parkinson is editor-in-chief of Passagemaker magazine, the world’s cruising authority. Having spent countless hours at the helm of his family’s 31-foot sloop navigating the waters from New England through the Caribbean, he found there was also a lot to like about horsepower and the luxury lifestyle afloat when he joined the AIM Marine Group in 2013 as executive editor of Yachts International. Parkinson is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and a yachting industry veteran of more than 20 years in the field. A Folio Award winner and the recipient of multiple Folio finalist nominations, he is also a founding member of Young Professionals in Yachting (YPY), a global non-profit organization promoting ethical business practice and education for young professionals within the yachting industry.
