Yacht X Tender To Unveil Support Vessel
The YXT 20-Meter is designed to emphasize the leisure aspect of seagoing and yachting with several features allowing for toys requested by the owner of the mothership.
She features a 484-square-foot (45-square-meter) deck suitable for large tender transport, laundry and ironing, water toys, and helicopters. Likewise, she can be used as a support vessel for race boats to even doubling as a floating space to allow for the possibility of including a professional galley or spa on an owner’s next seafaring adventure.
Underlying the leisure style of the YXT 20, her first 13 feet (4 meters) of deck, and her stairs are completed in teak to provide a fresh, marine feel. Her interior was designed by Franck Darnet of Franck Darnet Design. The interior has a white livery with bulkheads, overheads and furnishings of natural wood veneer grade plywood, complete with parquet flooring. Crew quarters furnishings are complete in white laminate veneer marine grade plywood with wood trim.
The most compact member of what YXT refers to as its “shadow boat fleet” features crew quarters for four including two twin cabins with baths, storage space, a galley and laundry rooms. Accessible from the main deck, the vessel includes one large storage container meant to be used as space for wine cellars, extra berths as necessary, or even extra refrigeration equipment.
Propelled by twin 715-horsepower Cummins diesels, which give her a range of 900 nautical miles, the support vessel was built on spec in Holland. With 1,059-cubic-feet (30-cubic-meters) of available storage volume, the vessel features two davits with 1.7-ton lifting capacity and 5-meter reach, and 360-degree rotation. One davit is on the main deck while another at the stern serves as the gangway.
